Monkeyfied Evolved

Amazon through the years

PLEASE NOTE: Just because Amazon does it, doesn't mean you should. They make decisions based on their business needs, not yours

Bryan Eisenberg's article talks about amazon's Add-to-Cart Evolution through the years and it's ever changing checkout process.

He talks about some of the subtle little changes that Amazon has made over the years to something as simple as their "Add to Cart" button that can have a huge impact on the business. Included within are screenshots and a very early, albeit ugly, design shot of a young Amazon.

Testing can be a difficult and time consuming process and obviously Amazon is a net giant that has developers and marketing moguls all beavering away testing these things non-stop but it is definitely something we can all learn from.

Great reading and a great article.
